Firesplash ducked behind some bushes. She had been sent hunting, though she did not expect to see Snapper out and about. Quite frankly, she was not sure she wanted to. This was one of those who stole her from her Clan, and she was personally unsure whether or not she'd ever get the chance to return. Briefly, she imagined being back with her Clan now. How were they? But she shook off the thought, and blinked her amber eyes. Well, he'd scent her sooner or later, so she should actually hunt. As if sent by StarClan, a vole scrabbled to her right. In one skilled pounce, she killed it and silent thanked her warrior ancestors.

Firesplash let out a yowl of alarm when she felt a heavy weight drag her to the ground, pinning her there. She could feel scratches along her back, and she glared above her at Snapper. Her amber eyes were smoldering, and she hissed. "Try asking Shard. He sent me." She growled, and with one paw she whacked his face away from hers, carefully keeping her claws sheathed. She could get in trouble for just hitting him, let alone using her claws on him as well. But then again, Firesplash was always the one to push the cord and try to see how far she could go with certain things. "Now let me up." She snapped, although she did not move yet. He would let her up, or she'd fight back. His choice.

Satisfaction built up in Firesplash's chest as she watched Snapper look at her with wide, shocked eyes for a moment. Although, she had been prepared for the swipe across her face. She barely flinched, and though she would not admit it to any cat- it hurt. Silently she swore. She would say whatever she wanted to him! But when he spoke about the lake, she narrowed her eyes. It was one of those if-looks-could-kill kind of glares. "Ha, you're funny. Why shouldn't I? You stole me from my home. My home mousebrain. You know I want to go back. But you must also know I my brain is not made of thistledown. I am smart." She retorted, before picking up her vole and raising her tail high as she padded off, back to the Rogue Kin camp.

Firesplash could feel Snapper's anger, and could hear him tear the ground with his claws. She sighed, knowing what her brother would be saying now. 'Don't wind him up like that Firesplash! You know better.' With clear reluctance, she looked over her shoulder. As much as this piece of fixdung deserved bad treatment and the rough side of her tongue, she'd rather not stay on his bad side. "Hey look- sorry. Just simmer down, try to be a bit more friendly. It goes a long way." Her tone was mild and almost friendly in itself. She could picture Redpaw smiling at her now, happy she calmed things down. But perhaps her openness with her captor was not the best solution. Great StarClan, though, what was the hurt in it?

"Yes I would be." Firesplash paused, casting an annoyed glance to the side of her. "But I'm afraid that's not who I am." She mewed curtly, turning her bright amber gaze on him. It was glittering with annoyance, still, and she twitched her whiskers. A tick? What kind of insult ... She let out a quiet mrrow of laughter. "What possessed you to call me a tick? No- the proper insult would be mousebrain. You'd better watch your mouth around me, you mousebrain." She corrected him and then bounded forward as she saw a mouse scuffling among some leaves. With one quick bite she killed it, once again silently thanking her warrior ancestors. Grabbing her vole and her mouse she started walking once more.
